Although it is an unusual month for weddings, which usually prefer the summer months, many couples also choose November to get married. Wedding preparations are always challenging, but the classic question that needs to be answered is: where to go on a honeymoon in November, when it seems an unusual time to go? We hope to give you the right suggestions!
November honeymoon in the world
1 - Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Considering that our summer period is too hot to visit the Middle East, for your honeymoon in November instead, the Arab Emirates present themselves as an ideal destination, especially for those who do not wish to fly many hours from Italy. Only six hours from Rome, in fact, there is the possibility of landing in Dubai and starting a journey not only into modernity, but also into the future.
Dubai, in fact, is the kingdom of records, with its tallest skyscraper in the world (the Burj khalifa); with shopping malls where it can even snow, despite the 40° outside temperature; for the completely artificial palm-shaped island that rises above the sea.
But Dubai is also culture and tradition, with the unchanged part of the city, the gold market and the old boats on the river.
Don't miss a desert safari with Bedouin dinner, sandboarding and camel ride!
Dubai offers not only the chance to admire futuristic structures, but also to relax on the long beaches of fine white sand and dive into the sea, perhaps in the shadow of the Burj El Arab, the skyscraper known as the Dubai Sail.
A little more than an hour away, another pearl of the Arab Emirates, plan anexcursion to Abu Dhabi, known in the media for its Formula 1 circuit and the commercial hub dedicated to Ferrari, but also and above all for the important and majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the emblem of worship in the entire country.

2 - South Africa and Mauritius
If you decide to organise your honeymoon in November in South Africa, you should know that this country is getting ready for summer, so with warm days and blue skies. And, if you love animals and nature, this is the place for you: the itinerary, in fact, could start in Johannesburg, as an arrival point. From there, a day safari to the Kruger National Park, one of Africa's most important nature reserves, perhaps passing through the Blyde River Canyon and God's Window, a breathtaking view inside Mpumalanga Park.
The journey towards excitement continues towards Cape Town, with nature so imposing that you will hardly forget it once you return home: Table Mountain and a tour of Cape Point with a visit to the penguins of Boulders Beach, where a friendly colony lives.
But Cape Town will not be short of excursions dedicated to history either, with a visit to Robben Island, the maximum security prison that sadly housed Nelson Mandela, and stops full of taste and flavour such as, for example, the out-of-town trip that takes you to Stellenbosch and the Winelands, the vineyards not far from the city.
At the end of these strong emotions, we recommend relaxing on a wonderful beach in Mauritius, an island that will not only give you crystal-clear waters, but also nature and lush greenery.

Numerous attractions for a trip that will present itself to you as rich and varied. First of all, the most important cities, such as San Francisco and Los Angeles: the former awaits you with its streets so steeply sloping that they have become a symbol recognised everywhere. The must, however, is the cruise on Golden Gate Bay and Alcatraz, the island with the world's most famous former prison, together with the world's most immortalised bridge. But also Pier 39, the pier populated by sea lions and many commercial attractions.
Los Angeles, on the other hand, will draw you in for its elegant neighbourhoods and the social life, so dear to the film stars we love most: walk the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and don't miss a tour of Hollywood and Warner Bros. Studios.
Finally, for an afternoon on the beach, almost always lapped by the wind, you could visit the neighbourhoods of Santa Monica or Malibu.
And between the two cities? An exciting trip along the Atlantic Ocean coast, stopping to visit the quaint towns of Monterey, San Louis Obispo or Carmel.
For your relaxation, on the other hand, we recommend a few nights in Honolulu in the Hawaiian Islands, which are not affected by hurricanes and offer breathtaking nature excursions.

4 - Australia and Polynesia
Australia is a huge island and thinking of visiting it all, in a single trip, can be unthinkable, due to physical and economic commitment, as well as the variety of destinations proposed, which can make the itinerary tiring. What we recommend is an itinerary that touches on the most representative cities and destinations that have always been in the collective imagination when talking about Australia.
For this reason, we start in Melbourne where, in addition to having a first approach to Australian cities, you can dedicate yourself to a tour of the Great Ocean Road and the 12 Apostles: along one of the most beautiful scenic routes in the world you will have the chance to meet koalas and kangaroos, which have always been a symbol of the country, and the limestone stacks known as the'12 Apostles'. Then, completely changing atmosphere, the next experience will be a tour of Uluru and the sacred sites: Ayers Rock, known as the monolith Uluru, is one of the most iconic places, to be visited at sunrise or sunset.
Next, it will be Sydney 's turn where, here too, the modern city meets the wilderness that lends authenticity to the nation: don't miss the Opera House or the Blue Mountains National Park. For a crazy experience, treat yourself to a whale-watching cruise.
Finally, Australia is famous for having the largest and most important coral reef in the world, so your last stop has to be Palm Cove where, with an excursion to the Marine World Poonton floating platform, you can admire the Great Barrier Reef. Still in the mood for the sea and, possibly, beaches?
We recommend you conclude your trip to Polynesia with a splendid tour of the islands of Bora Bora, Moorea and Rangiroa, in the company of the starfish.

5 - Japan and Fiji Islands
Immerse yourself in a country with history and traditions far removed from us, admire architecture we're not used to and a landscape that looks like a painting: that's what a trip to Japan can mean, the eastern option of the proposals for your honeymoon in November.
There are several stops, some absolutely unmissable, to get a good understanding of what makes up the background to this country, belonging to another culture.
Let's start with Tokyo, perhaps the best-known city, to admire its contrasts between history, with the Imperial Gardens, and modernity, with the Tokyo Tower, for example, or the lively illuminated districts. The Mount Fuji panoramic bus tour is also highly recommended.
We then continue on to Hiroshima, which represents a leap into history as we know it, with the Peace Memorial and the Atomic Bomb Museum. Not far away, a return to the past, with the Itsukushima shrine and the Miyajima torii gateway, the most photographed in Japan. Last stop, Kyoto, where, in addition to visiting the city's temples and the famous Golden Pavilion, the must is the evening tour to Gion, the Geisha quarter.
From Kyoto, then, if time permits, you can opt for aday trip to Nara, the former capital of the country. For your relaxation after such a demanding trip, we recommend flying to the Fiji Islands, for bathing activities but also for discovering the unspoilt nature of the place and the friendliness of the population.

November honeymoon in Europe
1 - Ljubljana and Bled
A trip to Slovenia means combining romance, architecture and nature in one destination.
The tour begins in the capital city of Ljubljana, which awaits us with its typical eastern city buildings, characterised by their red roofs. The centre is very intimate and can be visited in a single day; at the end of your walk, still in the centre, you might decide to relax by boarding a small boat and taking a short cruise on the Ljubljanica river, overlooked by the city's famous bridges.
Not to be missed from Ljubljana is aday trip to the Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle, also known as Lueghi Castle.
After discovering the capital city, our tour continues on to Bled, a glimpse of pure romance, thanks to the small church located on an islet right in the middle of the lake. Treat yourself to a tour of the lake and the castle, which offers, among other things, a priceless view of the lake itself.
Bled is not only history and culture, but also nature: just a few kilometres away, you can admire the famous Vintgar gorges for a half-day in the green, all year round.

2 - Romantic Munich and Bavaria
Although one may often imagine Germany to be cold and austere, some of its locations are not only steeped in history and art, but are also pervaded by a romantic, fairytale-like atmosphere, as if time had stood still in some places. This is especially the case in the south of the country, in the area around Munich and Bavaria, also crossing the famous Romantic Road.
Our journey starts precisely with the discovery of Munich, a city taken by storm for the world-famous Oktoberfest or the Christmas markets, and which in November will give you the enchantment of its historic centre, without the throngs of tourists: the Frauenkirche cathedral, Marienplatz and Koningsplatz are just some examples of what awaits you.
From Munich, then, anexcursion to the castles of Neuschwanstein, Linderhof and Hohenschwangau in the Fussen area is not to be missed.
Next, it is the turn of Augsburg, the third largest city in Bavaria and one of the oldest in Germany. Here, the historic centre with the cathedral and the town hall square, from which the most important street, full of shops and historic buildings, also starts, are undoubtedly worth noting.
Then comes the time of the Romantic Road, with the towns of Nordlingen and Rothenburg ob der Tauber, which retain a timeless charm, colourful old villages and where you will enjoy staying at least one night, to wake up the next morning in a fairytale world.
The trip ends in Nuremberg, discovering this city that has been etched in history for the famous trial and which awaits us with the Market Square, the Church of Our Lady and the riverfront.

Two cities that are almost always pronounced together, certainly because of their geographical proximity, but also and above all because of their grandeur, their romantic character and the presence of great historical buildings that tell of a rich and exciting past.
We start in Vienna, to discover the city of Princess Sissi, through the imperial palaces that welcomed her. Take a guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace and gardens, visit the residence inside the Ring, the ring that encloses the city centre. The city also offers the magnificent St Stephen's Cathedral, a recognised landmark, or the majestic Opera House and City Hall.
Continue on to Prague, which, unlike the much more Habsburg Vienna, has the typical characteristics of an Eastern European city, with marked Gothic features. Here we recommend a guided tour of Mala Strana and the Castle, as well as Stare Mesto, the old town, with its square and famous astronomical clock, and Nove Mesto, the new part.
A walk on Charles Bridge, to be crossed several times during the day, to catch all its nuances, as well as the magnificent statues, is a must.
Finally, to fully grasp the essence of the city, a tour of the Jewish Quarter is a must.

4 - Paris and Loire Castles
It's probably the most romantic European city par excellence, perhaps even in the world. We're talking about Paris, the French capital of irrepressible charm, which welcomes millions of lovers every year for promises that last a lifetime. An ideal destination, therefore, for a honeymoon in November, as the city offers interesting ideas in any month, thanks to the variety of attractions and monuments, which do not require any particular event to be admired.
There are several days that we can spend in Paris, which may never be enough; however, we recommend a tour that you absolutely cannot miss: a visit to the Louvre and the world-famous Notre Dame cathedral; the main squares such as Place Vendome and Place de la Concorde; a walk along the Champs Elysée and the Arc du Triomphe.
You'll love hanging out in the artist-rich Montmartre district and you certainly won't be able to resist climbing the Eiffel Tower or experiencing an evening cruise on the Seine.
After discovering the city, our suggestion is to dedicate a few days to visiting the enchanting Loire châteaux, located on the river of the same name: Chambord, Blois, Chenonceaux, Tours, Chartres and Fointanebleau are only the most important ones and you should definitely add them to your list.

Some destinations, in fact, due to their geographical location, boast a mild climate all year round: one of these is definitely Portugal.
Start with Lisbon, a city that sits on seven hills and its most important districts are the Baixa, Chiado, Rossio and Alfama. Visit it on an exciting tour of history, stories and daily life.
From Lisbon, several half-day excursions to the Atlantic coast are possible. We highly recommend the day tour to Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais.
The tour continues to Porto, Portugal's second largest city, famous for its typical majolica-clad houses.
Our journey ends in the beaches and unspoilt nature of Madeira, where we recommend you base yourself in Funchal, a charming town full of life.

November honeymoon in Italy
1 - Tuscia and the Etruscan Villages
Very often Lazio is only included in our travel plans as a region to visit Rome, the capital, the eternal city. But in reality, as we discover, this region also preserves a landscape and cultural heritage in its other provinces and, without a doubt, one of these is Viterbo with the Tuscia area, which bears excellent witness to Etruscan influences in Italy.
Our trip to central Italy starts in Viterbo, the city of the Popes, which owes its name to the presence of important monuments and attractions, such as the Palace of the Popes, the Baths of the Popes and very important cathedrals.
Next, we definitely move on to Lake Bolsena, following a ring-route that takes us to discover small towns such as Bolsena itself, Marta, Montefiascone, Capodimonte, Sutri and Caprarola: these small villages can offer us either an overview from above the lake, or the life of fishermen right on the water's edge.
Not to be missed is a visit to the Civita di Bagnoregio, known as the dying city, strongly medieval in character and built on tuff.
Finally, you could dedicate an afternoon to relaxation and fun, planning an excursion to Bomarzo, to visit the famous Sacro Bosco, a garden populated by statues that blend harmoniously into nature.

The first, Venice, is attractive due to its characteristic of rising on a lagoon, which is crossed along calle and canals and using waterbuses and gondolas as means of transport. In three days, we can also discover all the artistic heritage and sights of the city, such as the famous St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, the Prisoners' Palace and the Bridge of Sighs: behind each monument lies a legend that projects Venice into all the most romantic imaginations. The second, Verona, is known all over the world for being home to the most famous couple in love, Romeo and Juliet, and cannot fail to be a stop on our honeymoon. Thanks to its artistic, cultural and gastronomic variety, Tuscany, and in particular the Chianti hills, lends itself to being experienced in every season of the year, making it the ideal destination for a romantic honeymoon in November that doesn't leave out any detail.
We begin with a visit to Arezzo, a city with a very ancient history that shines through in the monuments of its historic centre, such as the Piazza Grande, the church of San Domenico and the Basilica of San Francesco.
We then continue on to Siena, which can be our base for various excursions, and first visit the city of the Palio, with the Piazza del Campo, the Palazzo Comunale and the Torre del Mangia.
But, as we have just mentioned, other medieval villages await us, such as Volterra, characterised by the combination of different periods, Etruscan, Roman, Medieval and Renaissance; and also San Gimignano and its towers, which fully reflect the medieval era.
Of course, in this discovery of Tuscany, one cannot miss anexcursion to Chianti with lunch and wine, in the hills all around Siena, to perhaps participate in a tasting of one of Italy's most beloved wines and connoisseurs.
Then, to continue along the wine route, we move on to Montepulciano, the town of origin of another important red wine of this region.
From here, in addition to visiting some of the wine cellars, as well as the wine tastings organised there, we can end the trip in total relaxation, visiting the area of Bagno Vignoni, with its square completely covered by thermal water, which gushes out deep into the earth, and that of Chianciano Terme, famous for its thermal centre.

Sicily is certainly one of the best regions for climate, history and flavours. So rich is its wealth, that there are several routes you can take, but we suggest the most classic, especially if this is the first time you are visiting this region in the extreme south of Italy.
We start in Palermo, the capital of Sicily and a very important city for its Baroque and Arab-Norman monuments, as well as the European capital of street food! For this, don't miss a walking tour of street food and history.
Very close to Palermo are the cities of Monreale, also known as the 'city of kings' and Cefalù, which will enchant us with its picturesque harbour.
From Palermo, we continue on to Erice, where we are sure to taste the typical almond paste, and Selinunte, one of the most important archaeological sites in the region.
The best known, however, is undoubtedly Agrigento, the next stop on our itinerary, where we will visit the famous Valley of the Temples. Visit it with a guided E-scooter tour, it will be fun and original!
We move on to Syracuse, stopping along the way at Piazza Armerina to visit the Villa Romana del Casale, home to splendid mosaic floors.
Syracuse, home to one of the major theatres of the Hellenic world, is also an excellent base for excursions to nearby Noto and Marzamemi, to visit more baroque towns and fishing villages, or the Vendicari reserve, if you are in the mood for unspoilt nature, as an entire ecosystem lives undisturbed within it.
